I'm Aidan Elsesser. Deftwright is a one-person practice. The person on your fit call is the person who writes your scope, builds your software, and hands it over.
Before this
From 2017 to 2026 I worked at a large medical-device company that went public in 2015. I started as a program associate and left as senior manager of digital experience. Most of the job was making business systems work for the people who depended on them.
I built and ran the integrations between the company's ERP, its CRM, and the network hospitals use to order supplies electronically. Then I led the turnaround that moved 1,600+ customers onto automated ordering. In 18 months, automated orders went from 45% to 85% of all new orders.
I designed and owned a portal where partners and customers placed orders, opened support cases, and found product training. I took a sales-enablement tool from a 40-person pilot to 750+ users, and ran the program that took the field team's CRM adoption from 40% to 85%.
I ran vendor evaluations and statement-of-work discussions, and built the benefits side of business cases. That's why every quote here states the scope, the exclusions, and how we'll both know it works.
Since 2024
Since December 2024 I've been building opchain, an open-source set of Claude Code skills that take software from idea to production in the same steps every time: discovery, spec, design, a build with a scored review loop, code and security audits, and deploy. Each step leaves a file behind.
Every Deftwright project runs through it. You can read every step at opchain.dev. I use AI coding tools to work faster; the written steps, tests and reviews exist so that speed doesn't come out of your quality.
Proof
